Clădirile publice sunt „elefantul din cameră”
decembrie 10, 2025Hotel Cișmigiu, part of Hercesa Romania’s portfolio since 2004, recorded growth across all metrics in the first half of 2025. Total revenues increased by 9% compared to the same period in 2024, while occupancy reached 77%, up by 6% year-over-year. The Average Daily Rate (ADR) rose by 7% compared to the same period last year, increasing from €113 in 2024 to €121 in 2025, while double occupancy per room slightly grew from 1.51 to 1.60 adults.

„The recent tax changes in the hospitality sector, including the increase of VAT from 9% to 11%, will have a relatively minor impact on our operations. We do not anticipate these changes to significantly affect tourist inflow into Bucharest, and we expect to continue benefiting from the steady increase in visitor numbers observed over the past two years”, stated Mirela Cojocaru, General Manager of Hotel Cișmigiu. „The positive general perception of Romania’s economy at the European level, reinforced by these fiscal measures, will enhance confidence in the country. In this context, we expect the positive trend to continue, and I anticipate similar growth levels for the second half of 2025”, added Mirela Cojocaru.
Most tourists staying at Hotel Cișmigiu in the first half of the year came from Israel (21% of the total), followed by Romania (14%), Italy (10%), the United Kingdom (9%), Germany (6%), and the United States (5%).
For the second half of 2025, Hotel Cișmigiu’s strategic objectives will focus on sustaining and consolidating the growth achieved during the first part of the year. Upcoming investments aim to optimize internal operations and maintain high-quality standards, recognizing that customer loyalty and consistent tourist attraction are the primary drivers of Hotel Cișmigiu’s success.
Hotel Cișmigiu includes 60 apartments, five conference rooms with capacities ranging from 30 to 70 people, and an amphitheater. It also serves as a cultural hub, hosting a Humanitas bookstore and the Cervantes Institute.
